Gateway Center for Performing Arts' Youth Theatre Company will open its 2016/2017 Mainstage Season with Irving Berlin's classic White Christmas, performing at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School, 3125 S. Kingshighway Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63139, December 2nd-4th.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont Lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas.

This production boasts large-scale production value, including 54 cast members Grades 2nd-12th from all over St. Louis, iconic period costumes, show-stopping tap numbers, and four snow machines. If you're looking for your holiday fix, look no further than this production. Director Paul Pagano says, "As always, we're extremely proud of our cast. This story is full of lively music and enormous production numbers. These young actors have worked extremely hard and have grown so much throughout this process...and the fun they're having is evident throughout the unfolding of the story. We hope you will come to share it with us!"
