The Footlight Players Open 83rd Season with DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER Tonight

The Footlight Players, South Carolina's longest-producing theatre company, will open its 83rd Season with the smash-hit, Don't Dress for Dinner, written by Marc Camoletti and adapted by Robin Hawdon. Jo Ellen Aspinwall directs a stellar cast through a delicious web of marital treachery. On stage today, August 1 and August 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16 at 8:00PM and August 10 & 17 at 3:00PM.
The Restoration's Critically Acclaimed Album CONSTANCE Moves Towards a Theatrical Adaptation, 8/21 & 23

The critically acclaimed narrative album Constance by The Restoration takes its first steps towards becoming a theatrical adaptation this summer as a concert version of the album is presented under the direction of Chad Henderson in Trustus Theatre's Premieres Festival. Performances will be August 21st and 23rd at 8:00pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.trustus.org. Premieres packages may be purchased for $50, and include a ticket to all three Premieres events. Packages must be purchased by calling the Trustus box office at (803) 254-9732.

2014 Trustus Playwrights' Festival Announces Winner, Premiere Set for 8/21-29

Trustus Theatre's Artistic Director Dewey Scott-Wiley and Literary Manager Sarah Hammond announced on Thursday July 24th that Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich's Big City was named the winner of the 2014 Trustus Playwrights' Festival. The script will receive a staged reading at Trustus in Fall 2014, and the fully staged world premiere production will run August 21 - 29, 2015.
