Brandi Jasmine's popular psychic protection book 'Living With Your Psychic Gifts' has been given a makeover!
Back in the early 1980's, Brandi Jasmine was searching for help with a runaway emotional freight train. 'When I first realized that my problems were related to uncontrolled psychic ability, I was shocked and horrified,' she recalls. 'At the time, it was a taboo topic. There was no mentor to guide me, and none of the popular big media psychics had starting writing books on the subject. I soon realized I wasn't alone in dealing with kind of problem. I decided I needed to share what I had learned.'
Over the years, Ms. Jasmine has worked with dozens of psychics in many different venues, and has written for a diverse variety of publications, including The Toronto Sun and Toronto Star. 'Living With Your Psychic Gifts' was originally self-published as a simple photocopied booklet, but has grown to almost 200 pages. It focuses on practical self-help techniques to help psychic and highly sensitive people ground themselves so they can live better, more fulfilling, peaceful lives.
'I get a lot of letters from people who are relieved just to know they aren't alone, that there is something they can do to gain some balance in their lives,' says Jasmine. 'It can be incredibly frightening to suddenly start having psychic experiences. It's comforting to know there are others out there dealing with the same problems.'

The Branford Marsalis Quartet was formed in 1986 and quickly raised the bar for other ensembles of its kind. The New York Times praised the group's most recent album release, Four MF's Playin' Tunes (2012), as "a knockout: hard-nosed and hyperacute, tradition-minded but modern." For this Chan Centre appearance, Branford is joined by his stellar, musically adventurous quartet featuring Joey Calderazzo on piano, Eric Revis on bass, and Justin Faulkner on drums.
