'Children's Theater' appears to be a misnomer--Instead, the name professional theater produced for children respects the work that First Stage presents in the First Step series for pre-schoolers. Goldilocks and the Three Bears opened this weekend at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, a musical creation by George Stiles paired with Anthony Drewe, the team of Mary Poppins fame, for any and everyone three and over. This utterly entertaining production represents the sophistication currently attached to professional theater for children, a delight for young and old to appreciate.

Welp, this is it. after a season of tumultuous, tear-jerking episodes (and 5 seasons aired previously), our favorite hit NBC drama has come to an end. The final outing had some lows, quite a few highs, and - just because it's PARENTHOOD - a few unexpected twists. To put it simply, though, the whole thing just let us know that the Braverman clan was going to be all right.

It pains me to admit this, SLEEPY HOLLOW, but for a while this season, I felt like you were losing your momentum. Sure, your episodes were fine, but sometimes it seemed like you were reaching. They certainly weren't always the power-packed, dramatic tales from season one that we grew to know and love. Tonight's episode started in quite the same way. And then it made a complete 180 and suddenly, we were back to the good ol' days, fighting Moloch and all his henchmen like it's our job! Just in time, too, since Moloch is growing stronger and the impending apocalypse could happen, like, any second now.

If you like MACBETH, there's every reason you'd enjoy Annapolis Shakespeare Company's current production of MACBETH. If you don't like MACBETH but are obligated to accompany someone who does, you won't find much to pick on other than that it's MACBETH. I personally have always felt that the interesting bits of The Scottish Play happen early in the show, and the rest is hand-wringing and an inexorable descent into depravity and madness, and I'd like a word or two with the playwright about that. This is as much as I will say about the script, in the rare circumstance that you might not already know the plot.

While it feels like an eternity since we last heard those words, fortunately, they will grace our television screens yet again in less than one month. On one hand, this talent-filled, multi-faceted show returning to Pprimetime feels like a front row seat at a Rayna James concert (which, literally, happens to be the very first episode- get ready for a live broadcast of our favorite Nashville singers). On the other hand, it's been so long since the season 2 finale that we're a bit hazy on everything that went down. Before Nashville attempts to catch you up in its cliché pre-show 30 seconds, allow me to step in and review.

From the very beginning of recorded time there have been two questions in particular that have plagued mankind, dogged our curiosity, and baffled our scholars, philosophers, scientists, and religious leaders. Is there a God? And why do we die? Through the centuries and across cultures, Literature and Theatre are permeated with questions of life, death, and a high power. Throughline Theatre's 2014 season, 'Mortality and Divinity,' will strive to explore these, and similar questions, in four new performances at Grey Box.
