The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, New York Live Arts' Resident Dance Company, announced today the touring programs and productions for the 2014-2015 Season. The Company will perform and conduct residencies in more than 11 cities in eight states over the next 12 months, making their debut at a number of venues across the U.S. Highlights of the 2014-2015 Season include the New York City premiere of Story/Time (35, 36, 37 & 38) November 4 - 8 and 11 - 15 on the Company's home stage at the New York Live Arts theater; the world premiere of Analogy (working title) in June 2015 at Montclair State University; the Company debut at Dancers' Workshop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and more. Touring programs for the 2014-2015 season include Analogy (working title), the Company's newest work; Story/Time; Play and Play: An Evening of Movement and Music; Body Against Body; and A Rite.

The five-time Grammy-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus will close its2013-2014 35th season with a special concert of music by Eastern European composers and guest artists Joe Goode Performance Group and pianists Kanoko Nishi and Sarah Cahill Today, June 14, at 8 pm at Nourse Theatre in San Francisco. The program, entitled Rites and Passages and conducted by Girls Chorus Music Director Valerie Sainte-Agathe, will feature Bartok's Three Village Scenes performed as a suite with original dance interpolations created by Joe Goode and performed by members of his acclaimed Joe Goode Performance Group. The Chorus will be joined by guest pianists Kanoko Nishi and Sarah Cahill for Nishi's new two-piano arrangement of Scenes 1 and 3 from Stravinsky's Les Noces and will go a cappella for Stravinsky'sFour Russian Peasant Songs. Completing the program will be Smetana's Three Choruses for Female Voice. Orpheus Chamber Orchestra today announced its 42nd season at Carnegie Hall, which opens on Thursday, October 23. This four-concert season highlights Orpheus' ongoing efforts to explore new musical territory-through commissions and working with an ever-expanding catalogue of guest soloists-while continuing to offer the highest-level performances of standard works for chamber orchestra. The 2014-15 season includes three world premieres of Orpheus-commissioned works by Timothy Andres, Anna Clyne, and Fazil Say. Mr. Say will also perform a piano concerto with Orpheus as part of this season's roster of guest soloists, which includes pianist Jonathan Biss and violinists Augustin Dumay and Jennifer Koh. Three world premieres by Maurice Causey, Charles Moulton and Artistic Director Charles Anderson headline the spring program of Company C Contemporary Ballet April 25-May 11 at ODC Theater in San Francisco and the Lesher Theater in Walnut Creek. The 12-year-old Company will close its 2014 season with a program featuring the world premiere of a new ballet by Maurice Causey (title to be announced), the world premiere of Charles Moulton's New Country and the world premiere of Charles Anderson's What's Behind Door #3 along with reprises of excerpts from Anderson'sAposiopesis and excerpts from Patrick Corbin's Partly Cloudy. The New York Philharmonic, in collaboration with Juilliard, presents a farewell chamber music recital in honor of Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, longtime Juilliard faculty member who is retiring from Juilliard and the New York Philharmonic at the end of the current season. The concert on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in Alice Tully Hall features Mr. Dicterow with his fellow New York Philharmonic musicians and guests, most of whom also have a strong Juilliard connection, and includes specially selected works by John Corigliano, Korngold, and Dvorak that reflect Mr. Dicterow's career in both New York and Los Angeles.
