Connecticut Repertory Theatre to Present NUEVO CALIFORNIA

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will stage Nuevo California to open its Studio Works Series for the 2016-2017 season.  Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON , which played a record breaking two-week run in 2015, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins October 25 at the Marcus Center in Milwaukee and plays a limited one week engagement through October 30. In Milwaukee, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 a piece.

The Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre presents a musical with a 'twist' as its next offering when Lionel Bart's legendary award winning Oliver! comes to the outdoor venue for a three weekend run. Set to open on Friday, September 9, the musical will continue through Sunday September 25. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a student rush ticket policy for the show's Calgary engagement, which begins Tuesday September 6, 2016 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium and plays a limited one-week engagement through Sunday September 11, 2016. In Calgary, the production will conduct a pre-show student rush, making twenty (20) tickets available per show at $25 per ticket. Student Rush Tickets will be available first come first served to those who show valid student ID at the SAJA box office 2 hours prior to each performance.  A limit of two tickets per person will be enforced.

Children's Theatre Company to Close 50th Anniversary Season with DIARY OF A WIMPY KID

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) will end its 50th Anniversary Season with the much anticipated world premiere of the musical based on the blockbuster, best-selling Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The famous book series by Jeff Kinney has been sold worldwide, has been brought to the silver screen through three films, and for the first time ever, is being developed into a new musical by CTC in conjunction with Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum (producer of Rent, In the Heights, Avenue Q, and Something Rotten!). This is CTC's fifth and final world premiere in a single season.

8th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards Are Announced!

ArtsBridge Foundation, the arts education outreach arm of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, today announced the nominees for the 8th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards in a live streaming broadcast on GPB.org. Tony Award-winner and Marietta-native Shuler Hensley joined GPB Sports Anchor Jackie Brittan to announce the nominations. 28 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards, which showcase the next generation of Georgia's musical theatre talent, will be presented at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 21. GPB will air the show live on its nine-station statewide television network.
