Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will stage Nuevo California to open its Studio Works Series for the 2016-2017 season.  Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON , which played a record breaking two-week run in 2015, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins October 25 at the Marcus Center in Milwaukee and plays a limited one week engagement through October 30. In Milwaukee, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 a piece.

The Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre presents a musical with a 'twist' as its next offering when Lionel Bart's legendary award winning Oliver! comes to the outdoor venue for a three weekend run. Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse for the 2015-16 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 24. The Dionysos Awards celebrates the contributions of more than 1,700 individuals, giving 77,000 hours annually as actors and backstage and front-of-house volunteers.     The evening will begin with a social event at 5:30 PM.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced the nominees for the 26th Annual Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater. The awards show will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Benedum Center in downtown Pittsburgh.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) will end its 50th Anniversary Season with the much anticipated world premiere of the musical based on the blockbuster, best-selling Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The famous book series by Jeff Kinney has been sold worldwide, has been brought to the silver screen through three films, and for the first time ever, is being developed into a new musical by CTC in conjunction with Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum (producer of Rent, In the Heights, Avenue Q, and Something Rotten!). This is CTC's fifth and final world premiere in a single season.

ArtsBridge Foundation, the arts education outreach arm of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, today announced the nominees for the 8th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards in a live streaming broadcast on GPB.org. Tony Award-winner and Marietta-native Shuler Hensley joined GPB Sports Anchor Jackie Brittan to announce the nominations. 28 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards, which showcase the next generation of Georgia's musical theatre talent, will be presented at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 21. GPB will air the show live on its nine-station statewide television network.

Past Washington appearances of note include performing on 'A Capitol Fourth' on PBS-TV in 2009 and at the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in 2011.

The Bobby G Awards celebrates Colorado high-school theatre through the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  They have released the list of 40 participating schools for the fourth annual awards to be presented on Thursday, May 26, at the Buell Theatre. Check out the list below!
