The 2011 Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum season was announced today by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. Stellar actors such as Jane Fonda, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis will be featured in plays by Moisés Kaufman, John Lithgow and Morris Panych, respectively, plus works by Lanford Wilson and Theresa Rebeck will be presented in the Taper's 44th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.

Lindsay Posner will direct Richard Bean's new stage version of David Mamet's film, House of Games previewing from 9 September and running until 6 November, with press night on 16 September. Designs are by Peter McKintosh with lighting by Paul Pyant and music by Django Bates. House of Games is sponsored by Aspen.

Prior developmental readings of the play were presented by Naked Angels Theater Company (Next Fall).

The American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Ellen Richard as executive director following an international search. Richard is a respected theater administrator, whose accomplished career has included such positions as executive director of Second Stage Theatre and managing director of Roundabout Theatre Company.

Tony Award winning actor Denis O'Hare is set to lead the cast of An Iliad at Seattle Repertory Theater. The show is co-created by O'Hare along with director Lisa Peterson. An Iliad is adapted from stories from Homer's tale about the Trojan War, The Iliad.
