The 2011 Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum season was announced today by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. Stellar actors such as Jane Fonda, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis will be featured in plays by Moisés Kaufman, John Lithgow and Morris Panych, respectively, plus works by Lanford Wilson and Theresa Rebeck will be presented in the Taper's 44th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.

Lindsay Posner will direct Richard Bean's new stage version of David Mamet's film, House of Games previewing from 9 September and running until 6 November, with press night on 16 September. Jim Caruso announced that Tom Wopat will return to the Birdland stage on Monday, May 31 at 7pm. This concert is part of the Broadway at Birdland series, which highlights performers and composers from the Great White Way.

The upcoming Broadway premiere of David Mamet's A LIFE IN THE THEATRE, which will star award winning actor PATRICK STEWART, will play THE GERALD SCHOENFELD THEATRE (236 West 45th Street). Rehearsals start on August 23rd, 2010, with performances beginning on September 17th, 2010.

Tony Award winning actor Denis O'Hare is set to lead the cast of An Iliad at Seattle Repertory Theater. The show is co-created by O'Hare along with director Lisa Peterson. An Iliad is adapted from stories from Homer's tale about the Trojan War, The Iliad. The show will run 4/19-5/16 2010.
