PASSION opened on Broadway in 1994, and received its London revival in 2010 at the Donmar Warehouse as part of Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday celebrations.
Stephen Sondheim's PASSION revolves around a handsome Italian solider, Giorgio, separated from his beautiful mistress, who is shattered and ultimately changed by the unconditional and obsessive love of Fosca, his Colonel's chronically ill and plain cousin. Her unrelenting passions force him to re-evaluate his beliefs about love and attraction between two human beings.
Italy's Dario D'Ambrosi, a radical innovator of the theater and founder of the movement called Teatro Patologico (Pathological Theater), will direct his newest play, 'Bong Bong Bong against the Walls, Ting Ting Ting in our Heads,' as the opening production of 'La MaMa Puppet Series IV--Built to Perform.'
Ravinia Festival's 2010 Gala Benefit Evening will honor the 80th birthday of the great American composer Stephen Sondheim with a program featuring an incredible lineup of soloists who have been featured in Ravinia's Sondheim celebrations since they began in 2001. The evening reunites the on-stage and behind-the-scenes talent that created Ravinia's acclaimed productions of Sondheim's shows, several of which have gone onto other cities. The American Ballet Theatre announces that Hee Seo will be promoted to the rank of Soloist, effectively August 2010. Seo joined the ABT Studio Company (now ABT II) in 2004. She was named an apprentice with the main Company in May 2005 and promoted to the corps de ballet in March 2006.

The Metropolitan Opera Guild has today elected attorney Richard J. Miller, Jr. as its new President. Mr. Miller joined the board of the Guild in 2005 and has been Treasurer for the last two years. He replaces Susan S. Braddock, who served for eleven years as the tenth president of the Guild.
