The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre first opened in 1996 and since then has become a popular entertainment destination for families looking for a fun weekend activity, it has also become a great spot for birthday parties and school trips. The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has been one of the most unique entertainment venues in the region since it first opened. Offering a fantastic dinner combined with a Broadway-style show, the Way Off Broadway experience is a full evening of leisure and entertainment. But the dinner theatre is only on piece of what makes up Way Off Broadway. In 1996, the theatre opened, what has become, it's wildly popular Children's Theatre. To this day, the Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre is the only children's lunch matinee offered in the area.
UK Tour of BIG THE MUSICAL Postponed

According to Whatsonstage.com, the February 14 run of Big -The Musical at the Liverpool Empire has been postponed. As previously reported, the European premiere of the Broadway show BIG - THE MUSICAL will star Tom Chambers, winner of BBC TV's Strictly Come Dancing, and star of Holby City and Waterloo Road, in the role made famous by Tom Hanks in the original feature film. Additional details regarding the postponement have not yet been announced.

Lifeline Theatre inaugurates its 28th anniversary MainStage season of 'Big Stories, Up Close' with the world premiere adaptation of Emily Brontë's 'Wuthering Heights,' adapted by Lifeline ensemble member Christina Calvit, directed by Lifeline ensemble member Elise Kauzlaric. Inseparable from childhood, Heathcliff and Cathy believe themselves eternally bound. But when they are brutally torn apart, the resulting course of retribution provides an unflinching look into the cyclic nature of revenge and the unknowable passions of the heart. Travel across Yorkshire's stormy moors with one of literature's darkest antiheroes in this legendary tale of devotion and redemption. An epic love story, re-imagined as a highly physical work of powerful imagery, by the adaptor and director of 'Mariette in Ecstasy.' The show runs approximately two hours with one intermission, and copies of the book will be on sale in the lobby.
