Godspell - 2013 - US Tour History , Info & More

Featuring music and new lyrics by acclaimed Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) and original concept and direction by John-Michael Tebelak, GODSPELL is directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific).

GODSPELL originally ran for more than 2,600 performances in New York and spawned successful touring productions in major U.S. cities, a 1973 motion picture adaptation and countless international engagements for the past 40 years.

GODSPELL is now in performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway at 50th Street).

Tour dates for the 1st National Tour will be announced at a later date.

Tyne Daly, Jason Danieley and More Complete Cast for Transport Group's A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE Concert

Drama Desk and OBIE-winning Transport Group has announced that Tyne Daly (Master Class, Mothers and Sons, It Shoulda Been You, Rabbit Hole), Jason Danieley (The Visit, Chicago), Hannah Elless (Bright Star, Godspell), and Marc Kudisch (Hand to God, Finding Neverland) will join Richard Thomas ('The Americans,' You Can't Take it With You) in its concert of A Man of No Importance, which takes places Monday, December 5 at 8pm at the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street.

The Festival will kick off on Wednesday, October 26 with its celebrated concert, The 46th Minute, which features songs from Festival shows you will not get to hear in the 45-minute presentation.

On Monday, October 17 the Theater People podcast welcome's Broadway favorite Jay Armstrong Johnson. Armstrong made his Broadway debut in 2009 in HAIR. He next stood-by for Aaron Tveit in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. He originated the role of Greg Wihote in the 2013 Broadway production of HANDS ON A HARDBODY and then starred as chip in the critically acclaimed 2014 revival of ON THE TOWN. For the episode, Johnson talks about how discovering theater at a young age changed his life for the better, how he was able to make Broadway producers take him seriously as a leading man, and shares some of the music from his new album 'Jay Armstrong Johnson: Live at Feinstein's / 54 Below.'

The Anthropologists (Malini Singh McDonald, Producer) are pleased to present the World Premiere of their newest devised piece, NO MAN'S LAND, directed by Melissa Moschitto (Give Us Bread at Milagro Theatre/CSV; Mahalla with Jewish Plays Project at the 2013 Berkshire Fringe) at TheaterLab(357 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) November 17-December 11, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 5pm (no performances on November 24 & 25).
