As we first reported earlier, at the curtain call the show's love story mixed with real life, as Darren Ritchie, who played Jack the White Knight proposed to his co-star, Janet Dacal, who played Alice. Darren proposed to Janet on stage right after the curtain call with the entire audience in the house. Janet screamed 'I said yes!' In the audience, there were tears of joy mixed with the sadness for the show closing. Now, the first videos are making their way onto YouTube!
At Wesleyan University, IN THE HEIGHTS creator Lin-Manuel Miranda first brought his piece to the stage. As they say, the rest is history, and the production seen here would go on to change, evolve, and eventually collect four 2008 Tony Awards - including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
