The final show of Blyth Festival's 42nd season - The Last Donnelly Standing - begins August 4 and plays until September 2 in Blyth's Memorial Hall. 'We are all Irish. Everyone loves the free, spirited, easy come-easy go air of the Irish, and this show makes everyone want to be Irish all the time - not just on St. Patrick's Day.' There is a twinkle in his eye, as Maine State Music Theatre's Artistic Director, Curt Dale Clark, utters those words. Immediately his sentiments are seconded by the show's director/choreographer, Marc Robin, and Portland Stage's Artistic Director, Anita Stewart, all three of whom will be joining forces to create Frank McCourt's play with music, The Irish and How They Got That Way, from August 16- September 4, 2016, at Portland Stage.
Damian Woetzel continues his DEMO series uniting artists around a common theme, April 22-23, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. This installment of the multi-genre series features Memphis jookin' dance pioneer Lil Buck, along with fellow jooker Ron "Prime Tyme" Myles, and musicians Sandeep Das (tabla), Johnny Gandelsman (violin), Cristina Pato (gaita), Wu Tong (sheng), David Teie (cello), and singer, song-writer, and multi-instrumentalist Kate Davis. This adventurous cast of musicians and dancers will explore, through their performances, the worlds they came from, collaboratively reinventing their own instruments and art forms around the theme of Place.
The Repertory Collective confront the Banksters of Wall Street in the world premiere one-man play The Reckoning, Pecora For The Public written by Neil Thomas Proto, directed by Arne Zaslove and starring Bob DeDea. This new play for the '99%' immortalizes Italian-American Ferdinand Pecora's valiant effort to expose the malignant and deceptive practices of Wall Street's most elite financiers and bankers including JP Morgan Jr., based on actual transcripts from the 1933 United States Senate Banking Committee hearings to determine the root causes of the 1929 stock market crash. Four extra dates at South Kensington's Drayton Arms Theatre (2-5 December) have been added to conclude the UK tour of one of the more controversial plays from the Edinburgh Fringe.

The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway.
