Edinburgh Univeristy Footlights present the SCOTTISH PREMIERE of Lin-Manuel Miranda's multi-award winning musical, In The Heights, running 11th - 15th February at the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh. Click below for a sneak peek at highlights of the cast in rehearsal!

In the Heights takes you to the neighbourhood of Washington Heights in northern Manhattan. With an original score and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, we follow three days in the lives of its residents.

Life in the bodega is tough, expectations are low and tradition is important. Despite this, the community spirit is a big part of life and it holds people together. Aspirations of a better future beyond the barrio are high but people are faced with the struggle of deciding what traditions to keep and which traditions to leave behind.

Winner of 4 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score, In the Heights promises an exhilarating blend of hip-hop, salsa and rap music, exciting choreography and brilliant orchestration. High energy, full of passion and joy, this is not a show to be missed.

Tickets £12.50 (Full) / £8.50 (Concession) / £6.50 (Student). Tickets available at: www.intheheights.co.uk. The show runs 11th - 15th February 2014, playing at 7:30pm / Matinee performance 15th February, 2:30pm. All performances run at the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh.
