London's world-renowned venue Shakespeare's Globe makes its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with two shows from the acclaimed family-friendly series Shakespeare Untold, running today 5 - 31 August 2015 (previews 5 - 7 August; no shows 12, 19 & 26 August) at Pleasance Courtyard. Shakespeare Untold features Romeo and Juliet (The Party Planner's Tale) and Titus Andronicus (The Piemaker's Tale) by Harper Ray and Adam Sibbald, based on the plays of William Shakespeare. Scroll down for a look at the stars in action!

The Untold shows are "stories you know from characters you don't", bringing Shakespeare's plays to family audiences in an accessible way - seamlessly blending modern language with the original text. The series has been developed by the award-winning team at Globe Education, who have been recognised in the Family Arts Festival Awards for their previous production Muse of Fire. In partnership with commercial producers Seabright Productions, two Untold shows begin a world touring programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015, where they can be seen as a double bill or as individual productions.

In The Party Planner's Tale, the story of Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet is retold through the eyes of the Capulet Ball's party planner. Sally Lofthouse stars as the Party Planner; her credits include Muse of Fire at Shakespeare's Globe and a nomination as Best Actress for her performance as Augusta Byron at a Dublin theatre festival.

The Piemaker's Tale retells Shakespeare's goriest tragedy, Titus Andronicus, as seen from the kitchen of Titus' piemaker, played by Tom Giles. As well as appearing in Muse of Fire, Tom's recent credits include Merlin directed by Liam Steel at Northampton, and The Tempest directed by Adrian Noble at Theatre Royal Bath.

Performances run 5 - 31 August 2015 (previews 5 - 7 August; no shows 12, 19 or 26 August) at Fringe Venue 33: Pleasance Courtyard Sub-venue: Beyond. Suitable for 5+. See both shows for £15 or individual productions for £10 (£9 concessions). Tickets: 0131 556 6550 / www.pleasance.co.uk or Fringe: 0131 226 0000 / www.edfringe.com.
