Lee Martin for Gag Reflex Presents GEIN'S FAMILY GIFTSHOP: VOLUME 1 at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 30 July - 24 August

By:

Lee Martin for Gag Reflex is proud to present the debut full-length show from Gein's Family Giftshop.

An hour of dark, absurd and fast paced sketches marrying the tragic with the riotous. This unique trio has rapidly (or should that be rabidly) become known for applying their very own warped world vision to the hilarious subject matter of abject misery and human tragedy.

Your new favourite sketch group, you just don't know it yet...

"GEIN'S FAMILY GIFT SHOP MADE ME ABSOLUTELY HOWL" - AYoungerTheatre.com

The fast paced and irreverent Gein's Family Giftshop have been honing their skills in the North on the stand-up comedy circuit and as such have an enviable gag rate and a stage presence that more established groups can only dream of.

The group is made up of Kath Hughes, Edward Easton, James Meehan and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean (the silent member in name only) and has been gigging for just over two years. They met whilst studying at The University of Salford, quickly bonding over a shared love of Walton Ford, serial killers, black comedies and a dislike of any sketch comedy they'd seen in the last few years. So they decided to make sketches that they would want to watch, which has become this debut hour, 55 minutes or thereabouts of the best sketch comedy money can buy. Lucky you.
