Edinburgh Festival Fringe Sell-out Performer Bremner Returns to Solo '33 (A Kabarett) Tonight

By:

A dance on The Edge of the abyss! The vanquished impresario of a ruined Berlin cabaret takes the stage, honouring his lost friends and singing the greatest cabaret songs ever written. '33 (A Kabarett), playing at the Hill Street Solo Theatre from tonight, 1-25 August as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, is about the power of music and the courage to keep going.

'33 (A Kabarett) is written and performed by Louisiana-based Bremner, who has received international acclaim for his solo shows across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and in Paris and Tokyo. Trained in opera, he performs music theatre, cabaret, contemporary vocal works and sings with his own jazz quartet.

Bremner mesmerised Edinburgh Festival Fringe audiences in 2008 with his "utterly memorable" (The Sunday Times) one-man show Whiskey Bars.

'33 (A Kabarett) opened in 2011 at the Orlando Fringe to sold-out houses and critical praise such as "A gem of a show ... frozen in that moment between rational thought and madness ... an engrossing cabaret of The Shadows" (Orlando Sentinel) and "An incredible one-man show " (PBS America).

The show has since toured Canada and received the award for 'Best Actor in Festival' at the London Fringe Festival and the 'Fabulous Fringe' award at the Orlando Fringe.
