EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- Rob Cawsey

Tell us a bit about Just Cruising.
Okay so it's a show about dating and trying to find love. It's set on the gay scene and it's physical comedy.
Imagine Mr Bean went gay cruising. How can you resist?
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
I don't think there's anything else like it in terms of style. Also some nice young ladies came to see a preview the other day and they said it was 'like nothing they'd ever seen'.
They may have meant this as a bad thing but I took it as a positive.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
It's for a late night alternative comedy audience or people looking for something a bit different. I think Edinburgh is perfect for that. There is no better place to try out something like this, and take a risk.
What are the benefits of performing at the Free Fringe?
It's a more relaxed atmosphere, which I like. The audience can be very diverse, international and up for anything. People are more prepared to take a risk on something, which is my kinda crowd.
Who would you recommend comes to see Just Cruising?
Anyone who knows what it's like to go dating and search for love, so basically everyone. Also anyone who like weird late night comedy. An who's open minded, it's a must.
