From the programme:

Britain Does Variety 2016 finalist Johnny Kingshott brings his stand-up comedy show to Edinburgh. Jokes, stories, quips, music and some character-based comedy.

Can you explain what you mean by "alternative comedy?"

Not just chatting to the audience and telling stories and jokes. Some music, some character comedy and some acting.

Why bring it to the festival?

To reach as large an audience as possible, to get seen and noticed.

Your press release mentions that you are "a little bit older", do you feel as though that makes things harder at the Fringe?

In the world of stand up comedy, yes. Many organisers (e.g. competitions) are looking for comedians in their 20's when developing. My argument is that most people who try and do comedy in their 20's fail at it, and would be better off trying to develop when they're a bit older.

Why should someone choose your show over the hundreds of other comedy acts on offer?

I try and throw in something a bit different, and being older, probably have a broader perspective and broader appeal. Hopefully..
