EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- James Everett

Tell us a bit about You're Never Too Old, Are You?
Jim and his alter-ego share whimsical experiences of his short journey so far as an upper age newcomer to stand-up comedy, with his encounters at comedy competitions including three attempts at Britain's Got Talent auditions.
In summary ...A young at heart and mind senior citizen in his 70th year, eager to exhibit to audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's 70th Anniversary that...You're Never Too Old, Are You?
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
It is the biggest festival in the world. I tried to get a slot last year but was just too late confirming my availability and slots fill up very quickly with the talent that is about. To get a show offered this year is fantastic, even if is only for five days. I feel quite privileged.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
To start with, I am possibly the oldest stand-up comedian at the Fringe this year. Like many others, my show is family friendly but having an alter-ego starting the show might be a little different.
What are the benefits of performing at the Free Fringe?
I will not be there to try and further or kick-off a career in comedy, my many birthdays have ensured that. However, I have always loved performing as a person to other persons throughout my life. (over 32 hears of army life helped out there) I just love the buzz and to tell people that I performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.... well that's a personal benefit.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone who like a bit of a story and don't mind a bit of audience participation (to a degree ...and what choice will they have anyway!)
