Tell us a bit about Hyprov.

Hyprov is a comedy high wire act. I (Asad Mecci) bring up 20 subjects on stage, then hypnotize them. Then Colin Mochrie or Mike McShane (depending on the night) improvises with the subjects while they are hypnotized.

The show is hilarious and rowdy. People race to the stage to get hypnotized. Once they are hypnotized you never know what will happen. Often the results are astonishing and laugh out loud funny.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

Edinburgh is the place to be seen by international scouts and critics alike. We want to tour Hyprov worldwide!

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

The concept is completely unique and has never been done before. The Times called it "a celebration of the human imagination". And High Snobeity ranked us as "top nine must see fringe shows".

How can audiences get involved in the show?

The show is fully based on crowd the participation. Without the volunteers/subject there would be no show. Audience participation is integral to the success of Hyprov.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

Anyone who wants to bust a gut laughing.

Timings and ticket information for Hyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis are available on the edfringe website.
