After huge success with their sell-out shows Midnight Tango and Dance 'Til Dawn, Vincent and Flavia embark on their last tour together. The Last Tango has a loose narrative with an elderly man sifting through his attic and remembering his courtship with his wife. The story plays out through backing dancers and of course, Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace.

I have seen several productions in the last couple of years that appear to be cashing in on the success of Strictly Come Dancing. I had never watched the programme and none of these stage shows I had seen convinced me to start. A friend recommended The Last Tango to me and said I wouldn't regret giving it a go. She was right - The Last Tango is clearly what these other "dance extravaganzas" aspire to be.

Everything about this production is polished. The set is simple but elegant which provides a nice backdrop for the stunning costumes. The music is well known (which prompted the dreaded audience sing-a-long from the row behind me) and performed by a live band and Matthew Gent who was excellent on vocals. Vincent and Flavia are obviously the highlight of the show and they are just incredible. They make very complicated dance sequences look effortless.

I'm disappointed that the first time I saw Vincent and Flavia was on their farewell tour because I would have loved to have seen more from them!

The Last Tango is on tour around the UK.
