Jessica Wagner Will Return to Ocean State Theatre
Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its fourth season in its state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick is proud to announce that Jessica Wagner, who won rave reviews for her portrayal as Eliza Doolittle in Ocean State Theatre Company's production of My Fair Lady last season, will return to Ocean State Theatre with her dazzling one-woman concert for one performance only on Sunday, November 22 at 7:30pm.
"When Jessica performed in My Fair Lady last season, she created quite a fan base," said Amiee Turner, Producing Artistic Director of Ocean State Theatre Company. "We are thrilled that she is able to join us as part of this year's concert series."
Ms. Wagner studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, CAP21 and has appeared in numerous New York/Off-Broadway productions and U.S. tours. She's also appeared in regional productions of Bus Stop, Always...Patsy Cline, The Sound of Music, Spamalot, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jekyll & Hyde and others.
Jessica's voice knows no limits and will surely delight as she shares some of her favorite songs from the Broadway canon. Throughout the evening, Jessica will provide some tidbits from musical theatre history and will share stories from her own experiences as well. Selections will include "I Could Have Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady, "If I Loved You" from Carousel, "Vanilla Ice Cream" from She Loves Me, "Broadway Baby" from Follies, "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret, "Meadowlark" from The Baker's Wife, "So In Love" from Kiss Me, Kate and many more. The proceeds from An Evening with Jessica Wagner will benefit Ocean State Theatre Company's Youth Engagement and Education Fund, which supports discounted tickets for students, the Camp OSTC Scholarship Fund, internship opportunities, and study guides. During the 2014-15 season, this fund helped offer seven different schools discounted participation in special student matinees, underwrote four Camp OSTC scholarships and helped open professional experiences on OSTC's mainstage to 21 local students.
An Evening with Jessica Wagner will be presented on Sunday, November 22 at 7:30 pm. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. Tickets are $39. "Access to the Cast Party," which will take place on stage following the performance, may be added for $15. OSTC 2015-16 Season Subscribers qualify for a $5 discount for each ticket ordered at the box office or over the phone (Discount not available online.) Tickets are on sale at the box office Monday through Friday from 12 noon - 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 12 noon - 4:00 pm, and from 12 noon until curtain on performance days.
