"Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents." So begins Louisa May Alcott's coming-of-age story about family, love, loss and hope. It also begins Bob Colonna's original stage adaptation of this classic American tale about the March girls - Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy - their beloved Marmee, and Laurie, the boy next door. Little Women is a special holiday treat for the whole family.

Artistic Director Ed Shea notes, " It's become a tradition at 2nd Story to offer life-affirming
classics during the holidays." Veteran actor Bob Colonna, who was commissioned by 2nd Story to write an original stage adaptation of the novel, will take the director's seat. He says, "Louisa
May Alcott was a woman ahead of her time, and perhaps ahead of ours. Little Women, based on  stories about her own family is a funny, romantic and often poignant tribute to five courageous
ladies (I include their remarkable mother, Marmee), and the ‘scrapes' they and their friends got
into as children and adults. My goal is to present a lively and surprising evening of theatre
worthy of the rambunctious spirit of Louisa, and a holiday show to delight audiences of all ages."
