Hartford Opera Theater is pleased to present: Changing Fortunes; the highly anticipated sequel to Fortune's Children: A Zoom Opera with music and lyrics by David Wolfson. We are pleased to offer two performances of this world premiere sequel: Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, both at 7:00pm. Both performances will be presented LIVE on Zoom. In part II of this series, we revisit three brothers: Alex, who has a white-collar career; Pat, a small business owner; and Chris, an essential worker. Months into the pandemic, their certainties and circumstances are crumbling. Chris has had COVID; Pat's cafe has failed. Their mother Sharon has dementia. Then Alex, the stable one, calls a Zoom meeting to confess that he has lost his job. They are forced into uncharted territory, seeking new ways to understand what it means to be a family.
