Songs from West Side Story 2008

About the Album: Nominated for seven Tony Awards when it debuted in 1958, West Side Story is a Romeo and Juliet story set in 1950's New York City. Although it lost the Tony Award for best musical to A Music Man, the show ran for two years on Broadway and became a movie in 1961 starring Natalie Wood. There are 34 tracks on this album: Tracks 1-17 contain the background tracks and guide vocals; tracks 18-34 contain the accompaniment tracks alone. This album is a re-recording in the original show key and show tempo. The accompaniment tracks are fully-orchestrated. There are no on-screen lyrics or lyric booklet provided.
