I'll Cover You – Telly Leung 2012

I'LL COVER YOU is a collection of some of Telly's favorite songs, done in a new and interesting way. Although most audiences know him as a Broadway performer, he is a music lover of all genres. Telly wanted to "cover" these songs with a fresh and new perspective. In an effort to do that, he and his collaborators created the unique sound of this album by combining a standard jazz trio (piano, bass, drums) and a string quartet (violin, viola, cello, bass). The goal is for the listener to hear these beloved songs as if they were listening to them for the first time while still staying true to the intent of the original.
