Dewey Finn gets kicked out of his band as well as fired from his record store job, so what does he do? Becomes a substitute teacher in an uptight private school and creates a rock band with his students! That’s the story in the hit movie “School of Rock” starring Jack Black - and now the musical version will shake the stage at Theatre in the Park opening Friday, July 1.

Made up of 18 fun and interactive holes inspired by the stories, characters, and icons from some of Disney and Pixar's most beloved films including Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Coco, A Bug's Life, Wall-E, and Inside Out, Pixar Putt is set to take guests to infinity… and beyond!

Freeform announced today the launch of a multiplatform social distancing campaign titled #StayTheFFHome, encouraging young adults to stay home. The campaign features talent across the cable network and includes out-of-home, on-air and social PSAs telling people everywhere to #StayTheFFHome. Through the use of social content, #StayTheFFHome aims to distract, educate and entertain fans while creating a sense of communal viewing.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of 'Mrs. Mannerly,' a comedy about a young boy and his manners teacher, by Jeffrey Hatcher, on Monday, March 23, at 7 p.m. The cast includes award-winning Broadway, film, and television actors Isabel Keating as Mrs. Mannerly, and Richard Kind as Jeffrey. Co-curators and co-directors of the Script in Hand Series are Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist, and Mark Shanahan, director, actor, and playwright. Tickets to Script in Hand Playreadings are $20 each.

American music legend, RANDY NEWMAN has added a Canberra stop to his highly-anticipated An Evening with Randy Newman Australian tour, taking his one-man show to Canberra Theatre Centre on Wednesday 5 February.

Animation Magazine has unveiled its list of this year's distinguished Animation Hall of Fame Game-Changers award recipients. The honorees will receive their awards at the World Animation & VFX Summit Opening Night Party on Sunday, Nov. 3 at the newly remodeled The Garland Hotel in N. Hollywood, Calif.

Today, The Walt Disney Company announced its full slate of movies and television series that will be featured on its new streaming service, Disney+.

As the Halloween season comes to a close, Freeform will continue to be the home for all holiday viewing with the second year of the “Kickoff to Christmas” programming event, starting on Friday, Nov. 1. With a month full of holiday fun, this year will also include two new Freeform originals. The film “Turkey Drop,” from Muse Entertainment, will air Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST/PST. The original holiday competition series, “Wrap Battle,” will air Monday, Nov. 25, at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST/PST.

A free pre-show discussion on Film Animation and Composing has been added to Musco Center for the Arts' presentation of Disney's 'Pixar in Concert' on September 28, 2019. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Pankow and Richard Kind have joined the cast of the upcoming 'Mad About You' revival, alongside Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt. They will reprise their roles from the original series. 

Disney's 'Pixar in Concert', in which a live symphony orchestra performs selections from 14 Pixar film scores to a montage of scenes from each movie, comes to Musco Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30pm. 

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Richard Kind will return to Roundabout's stage, following his Tony Award-nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning performance in The Big Knife, in Kiss Me, Kate. Kind will reprise the role of "Second Man," which he played in Roundabout's 2016 benefit concert reading of Kiss Me, Kate.

The evening included special performances as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, live auction with celebrity auctioneer Richard Kind, dinner and dancing. And due to future restoration of the Long Wharf, this was the final gala to be held there. The theme this year was a Celebration of the Golden Age of Broadway. A star-filled concert kicked off the evening, with songs from the most beloved musicals including South Pacific, West Side Story, On The Town, Carousel, and more, written by the hilarious, award-winning playwright Jonathan Tolins (playwright of Buyer and Cellar and Bay Street's hit comedy The Forgotten Woman). Entertainment included Broadway star and East Hampton resident Howard McGillin (Mystery of Edwin Drood, Gigi, Bay Street's My Fair Lady and Grey Gardens) performing 'Some Enchanted Evening' and 'Something's Coming'; German and Australian star Sarah Bowden (Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, A Chorus Line at the Hollywood Bowl) and Cory Lingner performed 'Whatever Lolo Wants' with special thanks from Mary Callahan and Nicole Fosse from The Verdon Fosse Legacy; choreographer Joshua Bergasse who recreated his Tony nominated staging of 'New York, New York' from On the Town; and Robert Fairchild, former Principal Dancer New York City Ballet and starred in An American in Paris on Broadway performed 'Kansas City'; Phyre Hawkins performed 'Come Rain or Come Shine'; Nick Cearley and Wayne Alan Wilcox performed a medley from Guy and Dolls; Other performers include Bay Street Acting Apprentices Kara Arena, Lewis Elliott, Allison Gray, Meghan LeFlam, Anthony Sims and Phillip Young.
