Carolina Ballet is one of America's premiere arts organizations. Launched as a professional dance company in 1997 under the direction of Artistic Director/CEO Robert Weiss, Carolina Ballet has since garnered critical praise from the national and international media, staged 75 world premiere ballets, and toured internationally in China and Hungary. Weiss, former artistic director of the Pennsylvania Ballet and principal dancer at New York City Ballet under the legendary George Balanchine, programs traditional ballets by legendary masters and new works by contemporary choreographers.

Curtis Cregan is darn right excited to be back in North Carolina! While no stranger to the stage, Curtis has most recently been seen on Discovery Kids 3 time Emmy nominated television series, Hi-5. He has appeared in the Broadway and National Touring companies of RENT where select audiences saw him as Mark Cohen. Curtis has also toured with Grease throughout much of the United States, Canada, and Germany, playing the role of Doody. He has trained at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.

When not on stage, Curtis loves to cook, ride his motorcycle (zipping through the mountains of North Carolina is actually a favorite trip!), and reacquaint himself with the world through his 22 month old daughters eyes. Curtis resides in New York City with his wife Jenn and daughter Josephine.
