On this day in 2000, The Lion King,reached its 1,000th performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Based on the animated film of the same name, the show opened on Broadway November 13, 1997 and won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Musical.

On Tuesday 15 March, four new Seasons joined the cast of JERSEY BOYS at the Piccadilly Theatre ahead of its 8th Anniversary on 18 March. This is the first time since the show opened in London that all four Seasons have changed.
