Before opening at Broadway's Stephen Sondheim Theatre, BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROL KING MUSICAL worked out its kinks at San Francisco's Curran.

Carole King, the American music legend whose life and career is dramatized in the Broadway musical BEAUTIFUL, took the stage on the final day of the 2016 Democratic National Convention to perform her iconic hit song 'You've Got a Friend.'

The American music legend was reluctant to have her life story turned into a musical, but now she delights in the joy it shares.

The new attraction features all new special effects, animatronic figures and a special visit with Queen Elsa in her ice palace.

Also, musical supervisor Jason Howland explains how a middle school crush led to his listening to Carole King for the first time.

Recently the NYMF production of DEPLOYED the musical gave fans a sneak peek into their rehearsal process. With a soaring pop rock score and set against the epic backdrop of a military base in Baghdad, DEPLOYED follows Emily's emotional journey. Our heroine develops an unlikely friendship with her interpreter, Laila, as she trains Iraqi women. Laila teaches Emily to appreciate others' suffering and to realize the enemy she's fighting is herself. When Emily finally lets go of her inner demons, a secret from the past comes back to wreak its revenge. They cannot forget...but can they forgive?
