The Hollywood Bowl's production of HAIRSPRAY reunites original Broadway stars Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Both Fierstein and Winokur, playing mother Edna Turnblad and daughter Tracy Turnblad, were awarded Tony Awards for best leading actor in a musical and best leading actress in a musical respectively for their appearances in HAIRSPRAY on Broadway. This is the first time that they have performed these roles together in Los Angeles; this is also Fierstein's Hollywood Bowl debut. The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner Celebrity Autobiography performed a special one-night-only Broadway themed edition-Celebrity Autobiography Salutes the Tony Awards-on Monday, June 6 at New York's Triad Theater with a cast including Mario Cantone, Rachel Dratch, Tovah Feldshuh, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Julian Sands, Sherri Shepherd, Carol Kane and Alan Zweibel.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario on August 19, 2010. 20 year old Jordin Sparks will be making her Broadway debut, playing a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. During a Monday night concert, June 28, at House of Blues, Sparks surprised the audience with a teaser of her performance to come, singing 'Breathe' from In The Heights.

American Idol winner Jordan Sparks guest stars in the next episode of Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, airing tomorrow, June 18 at 8/7c. In the episode, titled 'Big Time Sparks,' the guys record a new song, 'Count on Me' and film the accompanying music video on the band's label. Big Time Rush stars, James Maslow, Kendall Schmidt, Carlos Pena and Logan Henderson. Says Pena to TV Guide, working with Sparks 'was a lot of fun...She's very talented, and it's a very funny episode.'

In October this year, the legendary musical 'LES MISERABLES' will celebrate its 25th birthday by making theatrical history with an international first - three different productions in London at the same time. The Original Production at the Queen's Theatre, the New 25th Anniversary Production at the Barbican, London and now, stars in their multitudes will gather for a celebratory concert at The O2 on Sunday 3rd October at 7.00pm, when all three productions and many of the shows original cast will come together to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Minutes prior to the start of the Olympic games in Vancouver on Friday, February 12, NBC aired an abbreviated version of 'We Are the World 25 for Haiti', a recording to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
