The 12th annual Broadway Stands Up for Freedom benefit concert was a bona fide smash. A cast of Broadway's finest - including Lena Hall, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Condola Rashad, and Robin de Jesus took the stage at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, July 21, 2014 to celebrate the work of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

It's Tonys season! The 2014 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on CBS, on Sunday, June 8th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. The ceremony is less than a week away, and in the meantime, BroadwayWorld wants you to get to know this year's nominees. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented earlier this week in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. Jefferson Mays plays eight different roles in the Broadway show 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder'.

At a special event yesterday, March 5, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production has reached the 1,000th death of its leading man, Jefferson Mays, since opening at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Mays' character dies eight times in each performance; and so, he has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any other Broadway actor. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and caught up with the cast.
