In the Heights is a musical with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes. The story explores three days in the characters' lives in the New York City Dominican-American neighborhood of Washington Heights. The Broadway production was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards, winning four: Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Choreography (Andy Blankenbuehler), and Best Orchestrations (Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman). It was also a finalist for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

And Welcome to Fairfax, a series that explores the vibrant and arts district of Los Angeles and the entrepreneurs who work and live on these blocks. Improvisational hip-hop troup, Freestyle Love Supreme, participated in a virtual round table discussion on Wednesday with Future of Storytelling (FoST), where members discussed their best moments on stage. The group performs at various venues in NYC, and even appears on the Pivot Network in a ten-episode series that exposes the nation to the much talked about live show. On stage, five performers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chris Jackson, Chris 'Shockwave' Sullivan, Andrew Bancroft, Arthur Lewis, and Bill Sherman, take the crowd on a non-stop hip-hop improv ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized musical numbers.

Tonight, March 8, an original special Freestyle Love Supreme airs on Pivot at 10pm ET.
