York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), will present three offerings in its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series: Harold and Maude (today, October 11), Civil War Stories (October 15), and Leni Riefenstal is Going to Tell You the Truth (October 19).
Trav'lin - The New 1930s Harlem Musical, will receive its Regional Premiere production at Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre in Spring 2013. The musical, which received a developmental production in 2010 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), runs March 29, 2013 through April 28, 2013.
Tasti D-Lite has named a new flavor, "MISS BYRD'S RED VELVET D-LITE," to honor one of the best reviewed Off-Broadway shows of the year, Closer Than Ever, with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire. Current cast members of The York Theatre Company production, Jacquelyn Piro Donovan, Anika Larsen, and James Moye, were on hand on October 4th at Tasti D-Lite Times Square to introduce the world to the deliciously decadent new treat. There will also be an in-store raffle to win two tickets to Closer Than Ever and a $25 Tasti Treat Card.
Called "the feel good show of the year", The Needemann Brothers bring their hilarious antics to New York City's premier cabaret theater, The Triad on October 24th at 7pm. The production features never-before-seen material, and decades of popular song. The Needemann Brothers are a two-man musical comedy cabaret act from the west coast featuring Anthony Bollotta, and television, film actor, Jorge Luis Abreu. Musical direction and accompaniment is by off-Broadway composer Rayme Sciaroni, one of the song writers for Naked Boys Singing.
Walnut Street Theatre's 2012-2013 Independence Studio on 3 season opens with a mix of classic Holiday songs and fun 1950's tunes in PLAID TIDINGS, just in time for the holidays. Directed by Larry Raben, this toe-tapping production begins with previews on November 20th, opens November 29th and continues through December 30th in the Walnut's Independence Studio on 3.

Continuing their "Celebration of Off-Broadway,' The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), will present a staged concert production - similar in style to their acclaimed Musicals in Mufti Series - of the 1966 musical Man with a Load of Mischief, with music by John Clifton, lyrics by Clifton and Ben Tarver, and book by Tarver. Directed by Jenn Thompson with music direction by Bryan Wade, Man with a Load of Mischief will play three performances only, today, October 1 at 3:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 2 at 3:00 p.m. at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's. Dry with a Twist Theatrics and Inferno Entertainment are pleased to announce their production L'illusion Comique, directed by Kevin P. Joyce. L'illusion Comique will play a three night limited engagement at Under St. Mark's (94 Saint Marks PL., New York, NY 10009). Performances in New York begin Thursday, October 18 and continue through to Saturday, October 20. Opening Night is Thursday, October 18 (8 p.m.)
Teatro LATEA and Howling Moon Cab Company's world premier of Tango Fever opened with a smashing success. The cast electrified audiences with its dance numbers.
