Harlem-based folk rockers Tall Tall Trees will celebrate their wildly successful Kickstarter fundraiser with a special performance at Mercury Lounge on Saturday, November 20th at 8:00 PM. Having set a goal of raising $12,000 to record their sophomore CD, the band's fans rallied to raise over $13,000 on the internet funding platform.

This December, Carnegie Hall continues its long-standing tradition of providing audiences with a place to gather and experience the transformative power of music during the holiday season, presenting six special concerts in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage and Zankel Hall.

The Library of Congress honored baritone Thomas Hampson with its Living Legend medal during a concert on Thursday, October 28, in the Library's Coolidge Auditorium. PBS has announced that Broadway vets Harry Connick Jr., Julie Andrews and Audra McDonald will be among the performers who will be featured in the 2011 Great Performances Series. As a series centerpiece, the network will air Connick Jr.'s Live on Broadway Concert that ran and the Neil Simon Theatre this summer. The broadcast will run in the late winter/early spring of 2011. On New Year's Day, PBS will broadcast 'From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration' with Julie Andrews. Also in the winter, the series will feature Audra McDonald in concert at Carnegie Hall alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Gil Shaham and Emmanuel Ax.

On Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 6 p.m. clarinetist Richard Stoltzman joins the Eroica Trio in a performance of Messiaen's haunting masterpiece Quartet for the End of Time. The work was the signature piece and the reason for the founding of Mr. Stoltzman's former chamber group, TASHI.
