South Coast Repertory presents the world premiere of Noah Haidle's Smokefall, a co-production with Goodman Theatre in Chicago, directed by Obie Award-winning director Anne Kauffman. F*It Club, the New York Innovative Award-winning film and theatre company, continues its annual series of short, commissioned world-premiere plays at the Medicine Show Theatre in Manhattan with The Spring Fling: The Morning After, six new plays by Hilary Bettis (American Girls), Nick Jones (The Coward, Trevor), Krista Knight (Clementine and the Cyber Ducks), Janine Nabers (Annie Bosh is Missing), Heidi Schreck (There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature), and Joe Tracz (Up North) and directed by Oliver Butler (Blood Play), Matt Dickson (The Man-Made Rock), Mike Donahue (Grace, or the Art of Climbing), Portia Krieger (The Netflix Plays), Stella Powell-Jones (Williamstown Theatre Festival Directing Assistant), and Pirronne Yousefzadeh (Ten, The Tenant). Performances will be Thursday, April 4th through Sunday, April 14th with Thursday through Saturday night performances at 8pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2p.

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced O Guru Guru Guru, or why I don't want to go to yoga class with you by Mallery Avidon, directed by former Actors Theatre directing intern Lila Neugebauer. The play will run in the Victor Jory Theatre beginning on March 20, opening March 22 and running through April 7th. The production is part of the 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation.

Tina Benko stars in Jackie, the North American premiere of the play by Nobel Prize winning Austrian Elfriede Jelinek, best known in the United States for her novel The Piano Teacher and the 2001 film based on it. The production will be directed by Roger Rees and will feature actors Kyle Fabel (Broadway: The Farnsworth Invention; Off-Broadway: A Free Man of Color) as Theodore Lavretsky, Suzy Kohane (Acadia Repertory Theatre; University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program) as Liza and Sally Wingert (Broadway/West End, London: La Bete; Guthrie: Other Desert Cities, Appomattox) as Maria.
