Full Cast Announced for TEDDY FERRARA at Donmar Warehouse

The Donmar Warehouse announces full casting for the UK premiere of Teddy Ferrara, Christopher Shinn's insightful and revealing play, inspired by real events, explores society's uncomfortable embrace of the outsider. Dominic Cooke will direct his first theatre production since leaving the Royal Court in 2013, with a full cast featuring Nancy Crane, Griffyn Gilligan, Nick Harris, Christopher Imbrosciano, Oliver Johnstone, Kadiff Kirwan, Ryan McParland, Matthew Marsh, Anjli Mohindra, Luke Newberry, Pamela Nomvete, Abubakar Salim and Nathan Wiley.

FREEZE FRAME: Meet the Company of Broadway-Bound FOOL FOR LOVE!

Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway premiere of Fool for Love by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, will star Nina Arianda, Sam Rockwell, Tom Pelphrey and Gordon Joseph Weiss. The limited engagement of Fool for Love begins previews Tuesday, September 15 and opens Thursday, October 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Rubicon Theatre's COPENHAGEN Begins Previews Tonight

Rubicon Theatre Company welcomes stage and screen veterans Linda Purl, Brett Rickaby and Peter Van Norden to star in the company's mainstage production of the Tony-Award winning play COPENHAGEN, directed by international artist Judy Hegarty Lovett.

The Public Theater Extends ECLIPSED, Starring Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong'o

The Public Theater has announced a one-week extension today for the New York premiere of ECLIPSED, written by Danai Gurira. Directed by Obie Award winner Liesl Tommy and featuring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o in her New York stage debut, this powerful story of survival and resilience begins previews at The Public Theater Tuesday, September 29 and was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, November 8. It will now run an additional week through Sunday, November 15 with an official press opening on Wednesday, October 14.

Theater Wit's BAD JEWS Transfers to the Royal George Tonight

Theater Wit moves the company's smash hit Chicago premiere of BAD JEWS back to the city, after its virtually sold-out summer run at Skokie's North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. Starting tonight, August 28, Wit's production of playwright Joshua Harmon's smart, funny new play about young Jews grappling with faith, family and identity will reopen at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted St., in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Weston Playhouse Theatre's THE GLASS MENAGERIE Begins Tonight

Beginning tonight, August 27, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company presents Tennessee Williams' timeless masterpiece, The Glass Menagerie. The final production of an exciting summer lineup, Williams' iconic work also launches Weston's 5-year American Masters series, an initiative dedicated to bringing classics of American drama to Weston's stage with artists of national stature.

InViolet Theater Company's SOMMERFUGL Begins Next Month

InViolet Theater Company, under the direction of Founding Co-Artistic Directors Michael Henry Harris and Angela Razzano, In association with Melanie Maras, Bryan Tallevi and Andrea Kiefer have announced the off-off Broadway run of SOMMERFUGL, a new play written by Bixby Elliot inspired by the true story of Lili Elbe, the first person to have gender reassignment surgery in 1930. THE COMEDY OF ERRORS continues The Old Globe's 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival as part of the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities during the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. With three shows on Broadway this year, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Scott Ellis makes his Globe debut directing one of William Shakespeare's most delightful confections. The Old Globe engagement began performances on August 16 and run through September 20, 2015, with opening night tomorrow, August 22 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Merola Opera Ends Summer with Grand Finale Performance Tonight

SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2015 – The Merola Opera Program's Summer Festival concludes with its 2015 artists performing in the Merola Grand Finale tonight, August 22 at 7:30 pm at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco. Conductor Antony Walker will lead the orchestra and 2015 Merola Apprentice Stage Director Mo Zhou will stage the program, featuring works by Gounod, Bellini, Tchaikovsky, Jake Heggie, Nikolai, Verdi, Rossini, Humperdinck, Mascagni, and Offenbach. The performance is a culmination of the 12-week Merola Opera training program, and all 23 of the 2015 Merola singers will perform, under the coaching and direction of their fellow artists. A special artists' reception follows the Grand Finale (tickets sold separately).

Full Cast Set for THE BANDSTAND Starry World Premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse

Paper Mill Playhouse will open its 2015-2016 season with the world premiere musical The Bandstand. As previously announced, Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Bonnie and Clyde), Corey Cott (Newsies, Gigi) and Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, 42nd Street) will star in The Bandstand.

MCC's THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE Begins Previews Tonight

Dave Thomas Brown, recently of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages, leads a cast that also includes Wayne Duvall (O Brother Where Art Thou?, Leatherheads), Matt McGrath (Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi, 'The Black Donnellys') and Afton C. Williamson ('Nashville,' 'Homeland'), in Matthew Lopez's THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE, the first production of MCC's 2015-16 Main Stage Season. THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE begins previews tonight, August 20, 2015 ahead of a September 9, 2015 opening night.

California Shakespeare Theater Names New Artistic Director

California Shakespeare Theater today announced the appointment of Eric Ting as the company's new Artistic Director. The announcement, by Cal Shakes Board President Jean Simpson and Search Committee Chair Kate Stechschulte, caps an extensive seven-month nationwide search. Ting will serve as the fifth artistic director in the company's history, succeeding outgoing Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone, who completed his 16-year tenure with the opening of The Mystery of Irma Vep.

BWW Interview: Audra McDonald Updates on P-Town Concert, Eye-Popping BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SHUFFLE ALONG & More!

Audra McDonald has a big year ahead of her! After embarking on a concert tour this fall, the six-time Tony winner, who recenty wrapped filming for Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast, will be back on Broadway, starring alongside Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter, Joshua Henry and Brandon Victor Dixon in SHUFFLE ALONG. Before all of that, McDonald will head to Provincetown, MA to take part in the acclaimed Broadway @ Town Hall concert series, hosted by SiriusXM radio star Seth Rudetsky. For one show only on Monday, August 24 (6:30 PM), she will be joined onstage by her husband and fellow Broadway star Will Swenson, with whom she is currently starring in Williamstown Theatre Festival's A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN.
