According to a report by Variety, Broadway veteran Whoopi Goldberg is looking to bring her 1983 San Francisco show, MOMS, to New York in an off Broadway production. The one-woman show was a tribute to comedianne Moms Mabley. Additionally, Goldberg plans to direct a documentary on the same subject, which she hope to complete by the end of the year.
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is serving as the official educational partner for the new musical White Noise, produced by Whoopi Goldberg and opening April 9 in Chicago. The SPLC's Teaching Tolerance program partnered with the show's producers to create an educational guide that will be used by high school and college students to explore the musical's themes.

As reported in the Chicago Tribune, the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise will play its pre-Broadway engagement at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago this spring. Performances are scheduled to begin on April 1, with an opening date of April 9. Rehearsals begin in February in New York City.
