Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy, and Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, are proud to announce that MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will play a one-week engagement at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts (255 Almaden Blvd.) from June 21-26, 2016.

Rehearsals started in Atlanta today for BORN FOR THIS: THE BEBE WINANS STORY, the hilarious and heartwarming true story of six-time Grammy Award-winning icon BeBe Winans's journey to fame. BORN FOR THIS, directed by celebrated director and playwright Charles Randolph-Wright (Motown The Musical), will premiere on the Alliance Stage, now through May 15, 2016.

This week, a high-energy combination of the Motor City and the Great White Way burst into Louisville with the current Broadway Series production, Motown: the Musical, at the Kentucky Center.

Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of Motown the Musical. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy,Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Motown the Musical rocked into Overture Center in Madison on Tuesday night with an abundance of talent and energy delivering the memorable Hitsville, USA classics. This Berry Gordy biopic covers his life as a young boy striving for more, to a man borrowing money from his family to build a recording empire that changed history. The production culminates with the twenty-fifth anniversary celebration of Motown.

Just in time for previews, which start tonight 11 February in the West End, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL has announced an extension through 18 February 2017. The Daily Mail revealed this evening that 200,000 new tickets are now on sale.

Charl Brown (Smokey Robinson) and Sifiso Mazibuko (Marvin Gaye) join Cedric Neal (Berry Gordy) and Lucy St. Louis (Diana Ross) in the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, beginning tonight 11 February 2016 with press night on 8 March 2016.
