Wells Fargo Center for the Arts Welcomes John Legend Tonight

Nine-time Grammy Award winning artist John Legend has announced dates for his 2014 North American tour titled 'An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour.' The tour which began March 20th in Temecula, CA and goes through early June will feature John in an intimate and acoustic setting, highlighted by guitar/vocal accompaniment as well as a string quartet. The tour will stop at Santa Rosa's Wells Fargo Center for the Arts tonight, April 1, with an 8 p.m. performance, and other stops on the tour will include a night at the prestigious Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA on March 26th as well the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, NY on May 31st.

Friends and collaborators violinist/violist Pinchas Zukerman and pianistYefim Bronfman perform in recital at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Friday, April 4, at8 pm. As part of their eight-city duo tour, the music powerhouses perform Schubert's Sonatina in A minor, D. 385, Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 7 in C minor, Op. 30, No. 2, and Brahms' Viola Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 120, No. 1, which is the composer's own adaptation of a work he originally composed with the clarinet in mind. The performance is part of the LA Phil's 2013/14 Colburn Celebrity Recitals series.
Disney's FROZEN Becomes Highest Grossing Animated Film Ever

This weekend, Disney's 'Frozen' officially became the highest grossing animated film of all time, and with $1.072 billion worldwide, it has also entered the list of the top 10 biggest films of all time. The Walt Disney Studios' seventh billion-dollar release, 'Frozen' has earned an estimated $398.4 million at the domestic box office and $674 million internationally.

Broadway star Sara Jean Ford, currently starring as Christine in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera, joins the already stellar line up for this Sunday afternoon's concert, presented by Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY). Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz and Eric Whitacre at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, is the first concert collaboration between groundbreaking choral composer and Grammy winner Eric Whitacre and renowned Academy Award and Grammy-winning composer Stephen Schwartz, whose musical Wicked continues to run on Broadway after more than 10 years. Performing alongside Sara Jean Ford, who will be the soloist for Eric Whitacre's 'Fly to Paradise,' from Virtual Choir IV, is star performer Ashley Brown, the original Mary Poppins on Broadway. Eric Whitacre conducts the Distinguished Concerts Singers International- comprised of choirs from across North America as well as Italy and China- as well as Stephen Schwartz himself for select works. Sara Jean Ford was last heard with DCINY as soprano soloist for Messiah ... Internationally acclaimed pianist Rueibin Chen will perform an evening of Rachmaninoff at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts as part of its inaugural season tonight, March 27 and Friday, March 28 at 8pm. Honoring Rachmaninoff's 140th anniversary, Chen has been touring worldwide performing programs dedicated to the composer. He is the first pianist to perform Rachmaninoff's three Nocturnes in Asia and California, USA. His 2014 world tour will include in Greater China, performing concertos with orchestras as well as solo recitals.
