Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company presents You on the Moors Now, a new play about classic literary women rejecting the role assigned to them by society through marriage and making their own future. With a hilarious and reflective script, this story speaks to the characters back then as well as audiences today. This bold show highlights social norms from the past as well as the fresh ideas that we've come to in the present.

Drum legend & producer extraordinaire Simon Phillips will be releasing Protocol 4 on October 27th on Phantom Recordings, distributed by AMPED. Simon Phillips is by far one of the world's most renowned and respected drummers, whose style not only reflects his technical gift but also his distinct musical sensibility.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced its 2017-18 Artists in Residence. 'I started the Artists in Residence program about 25 years ago to provide artistic and financial support to early-career artists, giving them a theatre to call home and to provide peace of mind for a sustainable career,' says Roundabout Artistic Director Todd Haimes. PICT's main stage season will open with William Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET on October 21st, 2017 at WQED's Fred Rogers Studio in Oakland; the very studio that hosted the production of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood from 1968 to 2001.

EgoPo Classic Theater kicks off its John Guare Festival and its 2017-2018 season with a cabaret production of the rarely seen TONY Award winning rock musical version of Two Gentleman of Verona, directed by Brenna Geffers. John Guare and Mel Shapiro did the musical adaptation from Shakespeare's comedy, with lyrics by Guare and music by Galt MacDermot. This cabaret will run November 9-12 at the Latvian Society Theater, 531 N. 7thStreet.

The Old Globe today announced the additional productions in its 2018 Summer Season, including the classic Neil Simon comedy Barefoot in the Park directed by Jessica Stone (Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, Arms and the Man, and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Globe), which will run July 28 - August 26, 2018. The Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup will include The Tempest, running June 17 - July 22, 2018, and Much Ado About Nothing, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (the Globe's Love's Labor's Lost), running August 12 - September 16.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents Watch on the Rhine, Lillian Hellman's 1940s political thriller about loyalty, family, and sacrifice. The play, directed by Berkeley Rep's associate director Lisa Peterson, begins previews on Thursday, November 30, 2017 and runs through Sunday, January 14, 2018.
