The Acting Company Presents William Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT

The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) presents William Shakespeare's beloved comedy, Twelfth Night, directed by Tony nominee Maria Aitken (The 39 Steps) with a dynamic cast of The Acting Company alumni and ensemble members of Delaware's Resident Ensemble Players (REP). When her ship is wrecked, Viola washes ashore in the unfamiliar land of Illyria and embarks on a journey to find her lost brother. Brimming with music, love and longing, Shakespeare's enchanting play transports audiences to a world of comedic mayhem, mistaken identity and unrequited passion. This co-production with the Resident Ensemble Players comes to Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Pl, Brooklyn), May 10-27.

Cambridge Arts Theatre today announces a new UK tour of James Roose-Evans' adaptation of Helene Hanff's novel 84 Charing Cross Road, in collaboration with Lee Dean and Salisbury Playhouse. Richard Beecham directs Stefanie Powers as Helene Hanff and Clive Francis as Frank Doel. The production opens at Darlington Hippodrome on Wednesday 23 May before touring to Wolverhampton, Malvern, Richmond, Oxford and finishing in Cambridge Arts Theatre on 30 June.

EgoPo Stages Final Part Of Lydie Breeze Trilogy 4/11-22

The initial run of EgoPo Classic Theater's epic presentation of John Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy comes to a close in April. The pinnacle of EgoPo's 25th Anniversary season and its season-long John Guare Festival, this epic piece of theater about an American family, set between the Civil War and the birth of the 20th-century, moves into its final part. EgoPo produced three separate production runs of each part of the trilogy, which will be followed by two weeks of three-day marathons and four opportunities for single-day marathons. EgoPo is collaborating with Guare to present all three plays, now titled Cold Harbor, Aipotu, and Madaket Road in a consecutive cycle, with music by Jay Ansill and Cynthia Hopkins.

Midsommer Flight will expand programming in its 2018 season to include a free TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA in the parks this summer, special staged reading of RICHARD III in spring and the holiday perennial TWELFTH NIGHT. Midsommer Flight, the professional not-for-profit theatre company that has been bringing free Shakespeare to Chicago parks since 2012, will expand its programming from two to three productions for its 2018 season. Il 28 Marzo 2018 daremo ufficialmente inizio alla rassegna "Tutti pazzi per il teatro", un viaggio fra teatro, musica, musical e danza che vi accompagnera per tutta la prossima stagione primavera/estate. Questo progetto che comprende 15 spettacoli e nato dalla collaborazione fra Anima&Musica e Dreaming Academy, Accademia di Musical e Spettacolo di Padova in particolar modo nelle figure di Mirco Fattore e Alessio Guerra (Direttori Artistici) Bruna Laura Filippini (regista e insegnante di recitazione) che ne ha curato la parte artistica e organizzativa degli spettacoli di teatro e prosa, e Riccardo Sabatiello che ne ha curato la parte della danza, allo scopo di dare una nuova vita al Teatro Polivalente e crearne un nuovo centro culturale per la citta di Abano Terme.
