Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, has concluded its 20th Anniversary Season, highlighted by far-reaching new-play development activities supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust, and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The season was bookended by the Two River directorial debuts of acclaimed actors Joel Grey (Paul Osborn's On Borrowed Time) and Michael Cumpsty (Wendy Wasserstein's Third).

The year will include world-premiere plays and musicals that have been developed at the theater, including Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine, a new play written and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson; and Be More Chill, a musical by Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz, adapted from the novel by Ned Vizzini and directed by Scott Ellis. The season will also include a range of world masterpieces and American classics, and work for audiences ages three and up

Directed by Juan Castañeda of Urban Theater Company, Las Hermanas Padilla runs through April 1 at the DCA Storefront Theater, 66 E. Randolph St., in the heart of Chicago's downtown theater district.
The Chicago Cultural Center hosts a special book reading by renowned author Siobhan Fallon on Tuesday, March 20, 6:30-8:30 p.m. We're Waiting for You: Encountering the Homefront, includes a Q&A event with the author in addition to Fallon reading from her collection of stories You Know When the Men Are Gone. Presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture (COTC), in association with DCA Theater and Chicago Fusion Theatre, Fallon's short stories describe the experiences of families of service members. The event takes place in the 1st floor Garland Room of the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street. Admission is free; doors open at 6 p.m.
