All-Star Lineup Set for FIRST TIME FEST at Players Club, Kicking Off Today

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) and Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) have announced casting for their World Premiere co-production of THE CALL, a new play by Tanya Barfield (Blue Door at Playwrights Horizons/PH).

Playwrights Horizons Begins LIVEforFIVE Ticketing for THE FLICK

Playwrights Horizons begins accepting entries today, Friday, February 8, for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to the World Premiere of THE FLICK, a new play by Obie Award winner Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at Playwrights Horizons/PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya), directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Kin and The Big Meal at PH; Seminar and the current Picnic on Broadway). The LIVEforFIVE lottery for THE FLICK will be for tickets to the first preview on Friday evening, February 15 at 8PM at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

FIRST TIME FEST Film Festival Set for 3/1-4

First Time Fest (FTF) - a celebration of first time filmmakers - is a new and unique film festival taking place in New York City from March 1 through 4, 2013. Just as Stanley Kubrick had KILLER'S KISS, Darren Aronofsky PI, and John Huston THE MALTESE FALCON as their first works (all of which will be screened during the festival), First Time Fest is set to discover and present the next generation of great cinema artists. The core of the festival is an exciting lineup of twelve international films - from Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Chile, Israel, Mongolia, and the United States, all debut films by promising and provocative directors.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim Announces Spring 2013 Season

Works & Process at the Guggenheim has announced its spring 2013 season. Since 1984, the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. Each intimate, 80-minute performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater, where new reserved seating is now offered. A reception for the audience and artists follows most programs. Described by the New York Times as "a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process," Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson. Breaking News: Truman Capote's BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S to Open on Broadway February 2013 Starring GAME OF THRONES' Emilia Clarke

The world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, will begin performances at a Shubert theater on Broadway in February 2013. This stage adaption of Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly' and will be directed by Sean Mathias.
