Access Hollywood recently spoke with Vanessa Hudgens about her upcoming performance as 'Mimi' in Neil Patrick Harris' Hollywood Bowl concert version of RENT.

Local Equity Principal Auditions (EPAs) for Pioneer Theatre Company's 2010-2011 Season will be held on Friday, June 25th, 2010. Auditions are for actors ages 18 and up. The official Facebook page for SHREK THE MUSICAL has announced that 'First up: he may be small in size (a mere 4 feet, 10 inches), but he makes up for it in tyranny! It's, Lord Farquaad, who will be played by Todd Buonopane. Todd has appeared in the Broadway production of 'Grease' and has also made TV appearances on '30 Rock' & 'Law & Order: CI.' We can be sure to expect BIG things from... this little dictator of Duloc.'

The Hollywood Bowl previously announced Vannesa Hudgens for the role of Mimi in its production of RENT, which will have three performances August 6, 7, and 8. Today the Bowl is announcing additional casting, led by Emmy winner and Grammy nominee Wayne Brady in the role of Tom Collins.

Vanessa Hudgens will star as Mimi in the premiere of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl on August 6, 7 & 8, 2010. Hudgens is best known for her breakout role in the High School Musical series as Gabriella Montez, for which she received numerous nominations and awards. Her debut album, V was certified Gold. Her second album, Identified, was released in 2008. She earned critical acclaim for her role in the 2009 film Bandslam. She will next be seen this summer in Beastly, a modern day take on Beauty & the Beast, for CBS Films and recently wrapped Zack Snyder's highly anticipated Sucker Punch for Warner Bros.

BroadwayWorld.com's West Coast Scoopers are telling us this morning that the buzz from the auditions for RENT at the Hollywood Bowl are saying that none other than pop-star and actor Justin Timberlake is director Neil Patrick Harris' top choice to play 'Roger' in the 3 night production. The rumors aren't totally out of the realm of possiblity as Timberlake is said to have enjoyed all three nights of girlfriend Jessica Biel's performance in GUYS & DOLLS at the Hollywood Bowl last summer.
