Meera Syal's much-loved novel bursts onto the stage for the very first time this Autumn. Adapted for the stage by the award-winning playwright, Tanika Gupta, and with specially composed music by Ben and Max Ringham, Anita and Me paints a colourful portrait of village life in 1970's West Midlands during the era of flares, power cuts and glam rock. Directed by Roxana Silbert, the production transfers to Theatre Royal Stratford East from 29 October, after the world premiere at Birmingham REP.

Full casting is announced for Green Day's explosive award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot as it blasts into the UK from 17 July, at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square.
The full cast are Luke Baker (Theo), Natasha Barnes (Heather), Alexis Gerred (Tunny), Llandyll Gove (Gerard), Raquel Jones (Extraordinary girl), Natasha Karp (Alysha) Robyn Mellor (Libby), Lucas Rush (St. Jimmy), Steve Rushton (Will), Aaron Sidwell (Johnny) and Ross William Wild (Joshua). They join the previously announced X Factor star, Amelia Lily who is playing Whatshername.

Oh What A Lovely War , originally produced by Joan Littlewood at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, is another example of this and is playing the final week of its UK tour at Birmingham Rep.

Timed for the centenary of the First World War, Terry Johnson's revival of Oh! What A Lovely War still packs a serious satirical punch. It felt just as relevant and almost as hard hitting today as it would have done in 1963 - when it was first produced by Joan Littlewood at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.

Natalie Dew will play football crazy Jess with Lauren Samuels as Jules, a player with the Harriers, a local women's football team, and Jamie Campbell Bower as their coach Joe. Opening at the Phoenix Theatre on 24 June 2015, London previews for Bend It Like Beckham begin on 15 May 2015. Ronni Ancona will play Paula, Jules's Mum, with Jamal Andreas as Jess' good friend Tony. Preeya Kalidas plays Pinky, Jess' sister, with Tony Jayawardena and Natasha Jayetileke as her parents, Mr and Mrs Bhamra.

Jenny Tiramani has won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play for TWELFTH NIGHT. This is Jenny Tiramani's first Tony nomination and her Broadway debut. Her past work includes the production design for The Big Life on the West End and the production design for Two Gentlemen of Verona Off-Broadway.
