TheatreWorks Presents SUNSETS AND MARGARITAS 3/10-4/4

Cadillacs, caballeros, and some outrageous visitations combine for one spectacular birthday party when TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theater of Silicon Valley, presents the West Coast premiere of the zany new comedy, SUNSETS AND MARGARITAS, by José Cruz González.

DCTC Set for MAMA HATED DIESELS, OTHELLO & MARIELA IN THE DESERT

The Denver Center Theatre Company completes the 2009/2010 season with Mama Hated Diesels - a Denver Center World Premiere musical by Randal Myler and Dan Wheetman, an intimate setting of William Shakespeare's Othello and the winner of the National Latino Playwriting Award - Mariela in the Desert by Karen Zacarías.

Casting Announced for Denver Run of MARY POPPINS

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher are pleased to announce full casting for the Denver engagement of MARY POPPINS. Denver's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Buell Theatre on Thursday, March 4 for a limited engagement of five weeks through April 4. The opening night is Friday, March 5 at 7:30pm.

Victory Gardens Theater's CONVICTION Opens at 59E59 Theaters, 2/23

59E59 Theaters will welcome Chicago's Victory Gardens Theater with the NY premiere of CONVICTION, by Oren Neeman, adapted by Ami Dayan and Mark Williams and directed by Jeremy Cole. CONVICTION begins performances on Tuesday, February 16 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 21. Press opening is Tuesday, February 23 at 7:15 PM.

Behlmann, Jackson, Folmar et al. Lead 39 STEPS at New World Stages

The producers of the Tony Award-winning comedy, Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, have announced casting for the Off-Broadway production. The new cast of THE 39 STEPS will begin performances on Thursday, March 25, prior to opening on Thursday, April 15 at New World Stages / Stage 1.

ASC Presents GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND

Adventure Stage Chicago (ASC) presents the final production of their 2009-2010 season: the Midwest Premiere of THE GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND, adapted by Eric Schmiedl from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 1883 adventure novel Treasure Island. THE GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND features music and lyrics by the band Captain Bogg and Salty and is directed by Amanda Delheimer (The Cay, The Ash Girl).

Geva Premiere SPLITTING INFINITY Wins National Award

The Francesca Ronnie Primus Foundation and the American Theatre Critics Association have just announced that the 2009 Francesca Primus Prize has been awarded to Jamie Pachino for her play, Splitting Infinity - a haunting and evocative play about the mysteries of the universe and the road not taken.

Colorado New Play Summit Announces 2010 Readings

When he inaugurated The Denver Center Theatre Company's Colorado New Play Summit in 2006, Artistic Director Kent Thompson called the event a 'summit' because of the glorious Rocky Mountains and his goal to build the event into a peak experience... 'a new play festival that is a must-see event for theatre professionals from across the United States.'

Colony Theatre to Hold West Coast Premiere of BETTER ANGELS 10/21

The Colony Theatre Company presents the third production of its 35th anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of BETTER ANGELS, written by Wayne Peter Liebman and directed by Dan Bonnell. BETTER ANGELS will preview on Wednesday, October 21; Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, October 24 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, November 22 at The Colony Theatre.
