Lucas will be joined by the three most recent Youth Ambassadors - Madelyn Baillio, Julia Goodwin, and Nick Ziobro. The quartet will be accompanied by members of The American Pops Orchestra for the performance that will be streamed live online and become part of a permanent archive of similar performances on the Millennium Stage, which take place daily in Washington.
President and CEO Tania Castroverde Moskalenko unveiled the 2014-15 season at the Center for the Performing Arts - home of the Palladium. The new season represents multiple series, including Country, Printing Partners Classical, The Stratford Songbook, Taft Law Jazz & Blues, Coca-Cola World Stage, and The Buck Group Dance. In addition to the six series, the Center will present Drewry Simmons Vornehm Pop & Rock, Spotlight, Holiday, and CNO Financial Group Family shows.
The Encore Celebration Gala Weekend, held on June 28-29 and presented by Krieg DeVault, also served as a benefit for the Center for the Performing Arts for the second annual Great American Songbook Hall of Fame induction. Across the Arts: A Gleeful Literary Celebration showcases Indiana's finest filmmakers, best-selling New York Times authors, award-winning journalists, columnists, magazine writers, editors, publishers and musicians. The guests will be featured in a Writer's Studio on the Palladium concert hall stage. The daylong event runs from noon to 6 p.m., with an after-party and movie screening following the conference.
