Plays about the world of theatre are forever alluring. Such is the case with the world premiere of Kowalski that presents the initial meeting between Tennessee Williams and Marlon Brando. Kowalski, of course, is Stanley's last name...Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, that is, which offered the role of a lifetime to the actor who turned out to be... the icon of his generation. Now at the Two Roads Theatre, Kowalski is a rich and delicious theatrical dessert played to the hilt by a devilishly delightful cast.

This fall, Mirvish Productions brings the critically acclaimed UK production of Noel Coward's Private Lives to Toronto for a pre-Broadway run at The Royal Alexandra Theatre. Kim Cattrall leads the cast, and on May 31st it was announced that Canadian stage and screen actor Paul Gross would join her as her co-star. NY City Center Renovations Begin Today

New York City Center, dedicated by Mayor LaGuardia in 1943 as Manhattan's first performing arts center, today begins the final phase of its historic renovation and restoration. Designed by Ennead Architects LLP, (formerly known as Polshek Partnership Architects), the renovation will preserve and restore the landmark 1923 building's historic features while modernizing and upgrading the facility to create a world-class cultural center. A gala re-opening is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
