???????The Ridgefield Playhouse and Craig's Fine Jewelry Live in HD Series brings an encore performance of the Met Opera in HD L'Amour De Loin to the screen on Wednesday, December 21 at 2pm. 

Composer Kaija Saariaho is a woman of few words but potent music, judging by her comments about her acclaimed opera, L'AMOUR DE LOIN, and the excerpts performed at the Guggenheim's Works & Process series several weeks ago, in preparation for the opera's much-anticipated Met debut on Thursday, December 1.

Carnegie Hall today announced that bass-baritone Eric Owens must regrettably withdraw from his upcoming duo-recital with soprano Susanna Phillips scheduled for this Sunday, November 6 at 3:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall due to illness. Ms. Phillips has agreed to instead offer a solo recital joined by pianist Myra Huang and clarinetist Alicia Lee.

The Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY), New York's standard for grand choral performance, will mark its 2016-17 season with performances of symphonic choral masterworks of Handel, Mozart, Bruckner, and Britten, ending with Bach's monumental Mass in B Minor. Leading the OSNY for its 144th season will be Kent Tritle, in his 12th year as Music Director.

On October 26th and 28th, Unison Media's performance series The Crypt Sessions will celebrate Halloween early with the world premiere of pianist/composer Gregg Kallor's dramatic canata based on Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart, featuring mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Pojanowski, cellist Joshua Roman, and Kallor himself at the piano.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announced new details for its upcoming global livestream, A Day in the Life at Lincoln Center, the daylong Facebook Live broadcast on October 7, 2016. The unprecedented live event will feature all 11 resident performing arts organizations at Lincoln Center. The Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF), celebrating 37 years as Cape Cod's premiere presenter of summer chamber music, presents Brian Zeger Returns with Imani in two concerts on Monday, August 1, 7:30 pm, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 204 Monument Road, Orleans, and on August 2, 7 pm at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Cotuit.

Due to Anna Netrebko's recent decision not to add the title role in Bellini's Norma to her repertory, the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera, Covent Garden-where she was scheduled to debut the role-as well as the Vienna State Opera and Dallas Opera have announced several related cast changes.
